Returns Procedure

Statutory Rights

Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive, which can be found at http://www.hmso.gov.uk/si/si2000/20002334.htm By law, customers in the U.K. and the European Union have the right to withdraw from the purchase of an item within seven working days of the day after the date the item was delivered. This cooling off period ends seven days after the day the item was delivered.


Cancellations

You may cancel your order for any reason whatsoever at any time from the day after you placed it up to 7 working days from the day after the date you receive it, provided you have not used and/or damaged the item in question.

To cancel your order please provide SCOTTISH FAMILY TIES with notice: either call us on +44 (0) 1343 549008 (Monday – Friday 0900-1700 GMT) or notify us by email on cancellation@scottishfamilyties.com or in writing to: Scottish Family Ties 42 Muirfield Road Elgin Scotland IV30 6DE, giving order number and details of item ordered. In each case within 7 days from the day after on which the item in question was delivered.

SCOTTISH FAMILY TIES will reimburse any money including delivery postage you have paid for the goods you do not want within 30 days from the date you notify us of the cancellation provided that the goods have been returned to us unused and undamaged. It is your responsibility to take reasonable care of the goods while in they are in your possession, and to return the goods to us as soon as possible, either in the original packaging or something suitably protective. We strongly advise you to obtain proof of postage. We will not refund the cost of this return postage.

When returning goods it is the responsibility of the customer to insure the goods arrive safely, please reuse the original packaging or something suitably protective. Enclose the dispatch note giving the reason for the return, clearly stating whether you require a refund or exchange. Return the package to: Scottish Family Ties 42 Muirfield Road Elgin Scotland IV30 6DE and please remember to obtain a 'Proof of Posting Certificate' for your protection.

Faulty or misdescribed items

We take great care to ensure that you receive your goods in perfect condition; each order will have been thoroughly inspected before we dispatch it. However, if you find that there are faults or damage, or we have sent the wrong items please notify us either: call us on +44 (0) 1343 549008 (Monday – Friday 0900-1700 GMT) or notify us by email on CustomerAssistance@scottishfamilyties.com or in writing to: Scottish Family Ties 42 Muirfield Road Elgin Scotland IV30 6DE, as soon as possible. Provided upon inspection the item in question is accepted as returned goods you may reject the goods and receive a full refund or request a replacement. The postage cost of you returning such goods to us will be refunded.

SCOTTISH FAMILY TIES reserves the right to refuse a refund or exchange if upon inspection the goods returned are deemed to have been damaged or tampered with.
